Our Mission
On October 24th, 2008 NOVO COACHING was launched with a one-day training workshop at One Community Church in Melbourne, Victoria. In 2012, Novo Coaching became a not for profit company, Novo Coaching Ltd.
With a vision to catalyse Christian coaching in Australia, Dave and Kim Zovak [Fuller Seminary D. Min’s], together with John Rietveld [Ph.D Monash University] and Kylie Butler, have teamed up to provide missionally-oriented coaching for a new generation of leaders.
Collectively, they bring together over 50 years of coaching expertise in coaching pastors, church-planters and emerging leaders right across Australia. Their coaching training aligns with the accreditation requirements of the International Coaching Federation [ICF].
Coaching is an essential component of a genuinely Christ-centred leadership paradigm, and their dream is to see effective coaching systems and cultures within Christian organisations across Australia.

Our Team

John has served as pastor, church-planter, and in leadership development, coaching and training across Australia. John is committed to developing a new generation of missional leaders.
He’s credentialed by the International Coach Federation, is an Accredited Professional Coach with the Australian and New Zealand Institute of Coaching, and is a graduate of CRM's first Core Coaching Skills Certificate Program. He has completed a Diploma in Workplace and Business Coaching. John is married to Alice, and they live in Melbourne, Australia.

Kylie has served as pastor, leader and coach with many organisations and runs her own bible engagement organisation Milk to Meat. Kylie's passion is to help people take the next step.
She is credentialed by the International Coach Federation is an Accredited Professional Coach and has a CertIV is Business Coaching and has logged over 750+ coaching hours. Kylie has studied Business at Monash University, and Theology at ACOM and is currently studying her Masters at Tabor Bible College. Kylie is married to Adam and has 2 children (Toby and Lily) and they live in Melbourne, Australia.

Kim is an experienced coach, trainer, and consultant with non-profit leaders and organizations.
Her passion is helping leaders multiply their impact by reproducing more effective leaders. She has professional coaching accreditation with the ICF and has logged in 1000+ coaching hours.
Kim is still a part of Novo Coaching but currently resides in China.

Since 2002, Dave has been working with Australian Christian leaders providing coaching, training and organizational consulting.
Dave's passion is helping leaders and organizations align themselves around their strengths for greater impact and satisfaction. Dave lives with his wife (Kim) and two children (Zane and Kyra). He enjoys all kinds of sports, Mac computers and playing in the ocean.
Dave is still a part of Novo Coaching but currently resides in China.
